A baby blanket for my adorable baby cousin, Becca (b. 9/6/06).

I found a pattern for a baby blanket on a Red Heart skein of yarn and modified it to come up with this. It took about all summer to make, working on and off (64 tiny granny squares had to be made and sewn together ); finished by the time my aunt flew out to see her almost all the way across the country.

I'm.... one of those annoying relatives who has to show off pictures of babies I didn't want the pic to be that big, but I couldn't think of a better way to arrange the pics otherwise (it's officially fall break, my brain's shut down )

Made with Caron's Simply Soft yarn in white, pink, and raspberry (yum, lol). I didn't want all pastels so I chose a couple shades of pink. I think it's ok, but I probably could've used a lighter color than raspberry. Live & learn. I forgot to measure it, but I'm guessing it's about 38"x38"... the Red Heart pattern is supposed to make a 40"x40" blanket, but mine has a few less rows in the border, and I crochet kind of tight so it's a bit smaller.
